Sunday 5elect – Vol. 035

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Sunday 5elect, where Economix readers get insight into the top five tracks dominating my headphones right now. This week is packed with  bangers. Enjoy below.

1. Grandtheft & Delaney Jane – Easy Go (Pham Remix)

Pham’s remix of “Easy Go” is one of the best electronica releases I’ve heard in a while. It takes the upbeat and hopeful original and transforms it into an energetic, yet haunting electronica track.

2. Big Wild – Empty Room (feat. Yuna) [Win and Woo Remix]

Big Wild x Win and Woo was guaranteed to produce a banger. Recently had the opportunity to see BW live and it was one of the most fun experiences of my life. He knows how to turn up and explore the darker side of his style. Win and Woo capture the essence of that more intense, party-ready vibe in a way that remains faithful to the original.

3. Flume – Wall Fuck (Gramatik & Ramzoid Remix)

Flume’s experimental track “Wall Fuck” off of the album Skin has received so many creative remixes because of the unique sounds that it debuted to the electronic world. Gramatik and Ramzoid harness the original’s signature synths to much effect throughout the entire track – mixing it into the intro, drop, and soothing outro.

4. MADEINTYO – Skateboard P (Styles&Complete x Jayceeoh Remix)

Feeling blessed that this track appeared on my feed. An intense trap collab that definitely makes the drop the focus of the song. This is a pure banger.

5. Tchami – Confessions #2

Sometimes in order to understand why music is the way it is today, you have to look to the past. I’ve been exploring a lot of deep house and techno vibes recently and wanted to see where the genres’ roots lie. Tchami’s legendary Confessions #2 mix provides a perfect blend of deep house and hard trap.

Sunday 5elect – Vol. 017

Welcome to this week’s edition of Sunday 5elect, where Economix readers get insight into the top five tracks dominating my headphones right now. This week has an energetic vibe that will inject some fun into your daily routine. Enjoy below!

1. Hex Cougar – Sex U

Have you ever wanted to sex someone? Probably. Hex Cougar takes that latent desire and channels it into a sweet electronic banger that seems to effortlessly bounce out of your headphones.

2. Jai Wolf – Like It’s Over (Party Pupils Remix)

Jai Wolf’s debut EP Kindred Spirits is characterized by beautiful melodies and Party Pupils make the most of that in their remix of “Like It’s Over”. Keeping the soaring vocals intact, Party Pupils replace the instrumental with a bouncy synth that gives the song an air of playfulness. Great to dance to.

3. Pham – Talk To Me (feat. Anuka)

Polish producer Pham’s newest original is a downtempo track featuring deep synths and catchy vocals. An easy listen with just the right amount of complexity, this should go on anyone’s chill playlist.

4. SNBRN – Ghetto Ass Bitches

You could probably tell from the name of this song that it’s going to be aggressive. Straight deep house vibes from legendary producer SNBRN combine with a single vocal sample (guess what it says!) to make a dancefloor banger.

5. BENZI – GIRL TRAPZ Volume Ten

“Your girlfriend’s favorite DJ,” DJ Benzi is back on the mix with his tenth edition of GIRL TRAPZ, a super lit mix featuring the best EDM from the past couple of months adeptly blended together to create a musical journey. This is a perfect party mix.
