It’s been a minute since Gryffin released a remix, and I’m glad he’s back. Josef Salvat’s “Open Season” dominated the blogosphere when it was released almost a year ago, and Gryffin is here to revive the vibes. As always, this NYC-based producer adds a significant amount of energy to the track without going over the top. In the song description, he comments that he experimented with different musical styles and influences in the production process, and you can hear it in the track through touches like the cut-up vocals accentuating the song’s peaks. However, he does not stray too far from his roots and his signature echoing synth chords dominate this indie-dance track. This one will be on repeat for a while. Enjoy the track below along with another one of my favorites from Gryffin.
