KLP – Medicine (PINES Remix)

Our favorite new future-pop band PINES is featured here again with a remix of “Medicine” by KLP which was released about five months ago. PINES has been on this blog before with their track “All You Need,” which was featured on my previous playlist named “Dusk.” Both tracks are embedded below. The song begins with ambient, rising chords occasionally punctuated by edited vocals repeating “Won’t you take a bit of my love.” This serves as a preview of the driving beat that hits you as the song reaches its first zenith. Slow, mid-level bass synth calmly resonates in the background while the vocals rise to prominence and a snare rolls. The Adelaide, Australia-based group has demonstrated that they’re committed to producing high-quality tracks, even winning themselves a remix contest with this track hosted by The Ripe, a Melbourne-based music site. I look forward to hearing more from this band.
