Twang

I went in a different direction with this playlist. After listening to all of the electronica that the internet spews at me on a daily basis, it’s refreshing to hear music that was made with real instruments with as little electronic interference as possible. Don’t get me wrong, I love electronica, but listening to acoustic or folk-rock music like the songs on this setlist is like a cool splash of water to the face. It takes you back down to your roots and reminds you where it all started. Twang starts with an amazing acoustic cover/mashup of Reflections by Misterwives and 10,000 Emerald Pools by BØRNS (two great songs individually) and moves forward with some chill acoustic songs, building up to an “indie-pop” climax with “Runaway.” After a few more indie rock songs, “Redemption” kicks off the blues-folk theme that dominates the rest of the playlist. It’s a different vibe than you’re used to from me, but I hope you enjoy hearing a different sound as much as I do.

Let me know what you think!
